Digital menu and QR ordering
Each table opens its own menu. Guests customize items, leave notes, place a dine-in order, and follow it. The menu also works as a page in the phone browser, with an optional install for guests who want the icon on their home screen.
Kitchen display
New tickets land in one queue with quantities and notes. The kitchen advances Received, Preparing, and Ready. Cancelled tickets leave the active queue. The floor sees the same status the kitchen just set.
Staff phones
Waiters install the staff workspace and work from the tables assigned to them. Food that is ready and guest requests show up as tasks. The phone can chime while the app is open. With the app installed, food ready, guest requests, and table changes can also alert when the screen is off. Each person can mute those three kinds from their profile.
Live tables
The floor shows Available, Dining, Ordered, and Cleaning. Dining is an open sitting. Ordered appears on its own while food is still in progress. Cleaning follows a closed sitting. The floor plan and the grid read the same tables.
Service requests
Call waiter, water, tissues, cutlery, the bill, or a note. The assigned waiter acknowledges and completes them. Pickup orders do not carry these requests.
Cashier and POS
Bills stay open until someone records the payment. Cash, card, and mobile can be entered, including a partial amount. A service charge uses the rate set for that restaurant. The kitchen status does not flip the bill to paid.
Pickup
Pickup is its own order type. The receptionist hands it over. The cashier takes the money. It stays off the waiter's table list.
Waitlist and reservations
Guests waiting for a seat, and bookings, sit next to the live floor so the host is not keeping a separate notebook.
Branches and hours
A restaurant can have more than one branch, each with its own tables. Opening hours use one Opens and one Closes. A day left empty is treated as open every day.
Menu, staff, and shifts
Owners and managers edit the menu, add staff, and set shifts. Each role sees the work that belongs to it: kitchen, cashier, waiter, receptionist, cleaner, manager, or owner.
Reports
The manager overview keeps today's tables, kitchen tickets, and open requests in one place, with reporting beside the live floor rather than in another product.
A restaurant address
Each restaurant has its own address on Forkify POS, so the guest menu, the table QR, and the staff workspace belong to that restaurant.
